Camp

For all children who have just completed Yr 3 to members who have just completed Yr 6 at school

Junior – 27th – 30th July 2020,  daily from 10am – 4pm

Mini and Junior Camp will be run at a new venue in 2020.  We will be moving camp to Hoes Farm in Shipley.  We are hugely grateful to Sophia Burrell for allowing us to use her family home between Shipley and Dragons Green.  The farm has good facilities including good hacking,  cross country,  small gallops, and a lovely swimming pool and we are very lucky to have been able to secure this venue after so many years at the family estate of the Greenwoods.

A typical day involves preparing your pony for the day and meeting with your instructor. This will be followed by a ridden activity in both the morning and the afternoon. Each session is different, and will include flatwork, jumping, cross country, gymkhanas and hacking out in the beautiful countryside. Lunch is provided for Junior participants. On sunny days everyone has the opportunity for a swim in the beautiful outdoor pool. There will also be some free time and the chance to do some badges or watch a demonstration. Past years demonstrations have included side saddle and police dogs in action.

The last day of Junior Camp is competition day, with Combined Training and clear round Cross Country.
